Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Monday ridiculed Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s message reaffirming the organization’s partnership with ChatGPT creator OpenAI. Nadella had declared that Microsoft was “committed” to its partnership with OpenAI, while sharing the news that previous OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and prime supporter Greg Brockman would join Microsoft to lead another simulated intelligence research group.
While making the large announcements in a post on X(formerly Twitter), Nadella stated, “We stay focused on our partnership with OpenAI and genuinely believe in our item guide, our capacity to keep on developing with all that we reported at Microsoft Light, and in proceeding to support our customers and partners. We anticipate getting to know Emmett Shear and OAI’s new leadership group and working with them. Furthermore, we’re incredibly eager to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, along with colleagues, will join Microsoft to lead another high level man-made intelligence research group. We anticipate moving rapidly to give them the resources required for their success.”
The ‘they’ in Musk’s tweet presumably refers to the OpenAI personnel who famously terminated Sam Altman at a Google Meet as opposed to Microsoft’s Teams, despite having secured financing from the tech goliath. Quite, Microsoft has invested $13 billion in OpenAI and owns around 49% of the computer based intelligence startup.
Previous OpenAI president Greg Brockman had uncovered in a post on X that the OpenAI board members, drove by fellow benefactor Ilya Sutskever, told Sam Altman that he had been terminated in a Google Meet.
Brockman in a post on November 18 stated, “Last evening, Sam got a text from Ilya asking to talk around early afternoon Friday. Sam joined a Google Meet and the entire board, with the exception of Greg, was there. Ilya told Sam he was being terminated and that the news was going out very soon.”
