Locations and The Retro Feel
As I am going about my web series pre-production stage, I am beginning to realize that it will be difficult to get a college located in a big town or a metro city because the structure and style of buildings have changed dramatically. I was looking for a building in 1996 1998 now over twenty years hence all the colleges and universities have modernized and had new age look buildings. That is why buildings of BHU and Allahabad University are closer to my campus days. I am realizing more and more that retro look is the look to keep the series should have a retro look and transport us to the 1996 -1998 era. The era of Maruti 800 and NE 118, Uncle Chips, Double Seven Cola, Crax, Business Strategist, and Enfield Bullet. Phillip Kotler, Jack trout and Ian Ryan those will be the books. There had to be a retro feel to this one. The costumes the props all have to have the 1996 kind of feel.
This is what will give web series the story kind of feel. Without a strong and unique story, it will all fall apart. The sex and the erotica will be there but to prop up the story and support it. But everything should transport us to that era the era of 1996-1998.
