Sanjana was an eight-year-old girl who studied in senior nursery school and loved to play with dolls. She had a huge dollhouse that her father, Naveen, had gifted her on her birthday. Her favourite dolls were Lara, Tara, and Sara. Lara was lean and graceful, with snow-white hair, and she could dance like Michael Jackson. She would dance all day on Sanjana's bed. Tara was traditional, always dressed in a sari or a shalwar kameez. She was excellent at domestic chores. She would clean up Sanjana's books, tidy her room, organize her cupboard, and even iron her school clothes. Sara was a feisty doll and a health enthusiast. She would teach Sanjana exercises such as Pilates and yoga to keep her fit. She would also exercise with her and teach her about spirituality and meditation. Sanjana loved spending time with her dolls. Whenever her mother or father entered the room, the dolls would return to the dollhouse and become motionless like statues. But as soon as her parents left, they would come alive again and play with Sanjana. All hell broke loose when Naveen bought Sanjana a fluffy cat doll and a fluffy battery-operated dog. Whenever the button was pressed, the dog would bark and chase the dolls around the house. Sanjana named the dog Woffy and the cat Diamond because it had shiny, diamond-shaped eyes.

Hamari Gyano! It is a book about a Nepali maidservant Gyano and her family. The relationship with the authors' parents. How a poor man Narayan Thapa came from a small village in Nepal and started working with his present-day masters. How the family grew to a size of five and after the death of both the parents their prolonged legal battle with the sole heir of the family, who is also the author of the book. Hamari Gyano! tells the story of a greedy servant family who falls out with the son of their master and how manipulative lawyers insight them to lie and cheat the system and the courts. The story is also about the truth of our justice system, it’s many shortcomings and frailties. How money rules and at times even overshadows the truth. It has a moral tale for many well off families who have large properties, which over the period of time get encroached by servants, who no doubt have lived with their masters for generations. It is a lesson for the wealthy not to get too close to their helpers and staff and not to become too familiar with their kins. Hamari Gyano is a story of a feisty bull-headed Nepali maid, who threatens to take her new master to the cleaners and demands 50 lakhs for the services rendered by her and her family. It is a story of how courts can be manipulated, how false documents are submitted and how the entire laborious and slow procedures of the courts make sure that justice is delayed. It is a stark portrayal of our flawed justice system run by money-hungry cops and lawyers who are busy playing their own money-grabbing game. In the end, it is a story that bears testimony to the fact that both the plaintiffs lose in the end and only the lawyers and the court systems win by making money on their strife and differences.

This woman was intelligent, funny, witty yet lonely, aloof, tormented and humiliated. She had all these qualities and more. More than that, it was that heavy, high and regal cheekbones and forehead of hers that was attractive. Her lips… well, what can I say, was warm, heavy, inviting, tantalising and much more. She played around with her hair, wore tight skirts to class and was ever so ready to mingle with the boys.

In the jungle of Hashish Pura lived a fat and bulky chimpanzee named Doobe. He was large and loved hanging from trees and swinging from one branch to another. One day, he discovered hashish leaves in the forest and began smoking them with his friends, Dumpy and Bumpy. Dumpy was an orangutan, and Bumpy was a gorilla. They would light a fire with the help of two Maasai tribesmen and smoke beside it, enjoying the intoxicating haze as the smoke drifted through the jungle air. It was quite a sight to see them relaxing and enjoying themselves in the heart of the jungle. Soon they were joined by others, including Zoo Zoo the zebra and Jumari the flying parrot. They would dance all day and all night, making merry together. Trouble began when a forest ranger tried to stop them from smoking weed growing in the bushes. His name was Karaka. He was dark-skinned, had a scar across his face, and carried a double-barrel shotgun. Along with his two henchmen, Jumara and Samara, he tried to stop the chimps from smoking pot. He interrupted their jungle rave party. The jungle soon erupted into chaos as Karaka and his men tried to burn all the weed plants and destroy the chimps' party. The chimps rushed to the nearby waterfall, carrying water to douse the flames. A battle for survival had begun.
