My stay in Mumbai is bringing me a lot of joy as I am locked up at the Marriott Juhu. The breakfast is generally in the hall and it is scrumptious as usual. I stare at the sea sometimes from my bed in quiet contemplation, I have hooked my laptop to the Bose speakers provided in my room and that leads perfectly to the ambient sounds that resonate from the speaker. The food what can I say it is a class apart lamb chops, butter chicken, salmon, keema, orange tart, cakes and lots of lime juice. The days pass seamlessly at times but there is some restlessness on tiger weekdays as I try and get some work done with my blog, publishers, bank, and book buyers.

The hotel has become a mini office for me, where I meet people, scan documents and also sign contracts all in the comfort of a safe fortress called the Marriott Juhu. My temperature is taken every morning and my visitors are scanned and sanitized before they enter, plus I have to inform the hotel if some guests are coming for work or discussions, most of the time I and Ashish do our work in my room and at times we roam around the lobby area. Our favorite spot is the coffee and Pastry shop of the Marriott, where my dear friend takes my photographs, some I am posting in the blog.

I do feel some restlessness during the workdays when I am trying to push my pet projects, but that is because I want things to happen fast and the more I ask for things to happen the more they do not happen. I never chased after selling my book Yes Sir I killed my Dad but it got sold easily, I desire that my second book gets sold and has put the maximum effort behind it and it is still not selling. I have seen more you run after something the more it runs away from you. The more you just stay and let things be the more it starts coming towards you.

The more it comes towards you the more you stay, so I have decided not to push for anything and just be in the here and now, what has to come will come. Meanwhile, I enjoy the conversations with Ashish has we dive into fruit pies, buns, and pastries at the coffee shop. I got my lady friend to come up to see me, but she was dean red entry as I have not given a prior notice the hotel has to scan the credentials and from which part of the city they are coming from, just to protect us from the Virus situation that has gotten worse in Mumbai.

The pies and the pastries with occasional car rides with Ashish is keeping me busy these days. I have lost some weight due to my meditation and yoga. The warm shower baths with transparent scented soap, I am being spoilt here for sure.
