Guys, I complete 5 years of blogging today, I started this blog in Nov 2015 and five years hence I have traveled many miles. The journey took me to more than 40 countries around the world and I have just finished my 23rd Book which is now published on amazon.com and KDP select. I have also 5 audiobooks selling on audible and iTunes. The journey took me to many places and I spoke to many people unearthing many stories. From attending blogging conferences to giving guest lectures on blogging I have traveled much. My latest learning is about selling digital content and doing IPR deals in Bollywood as I managed to sell two of my books which will be made into digital content as web movies. My primary revenue source is through my audiobook and book sales and now with digital rights of my books being sold that is an added revenue stream.

Five years of Blogging

I have executed events like Kumbh Ka Mela 2019 and done video blogging which has got me no revenue. My Followership has gone but very modestly with over 31k followers on my Facebook page. I became a PAD-I certified scuba diver and even made videos in Antarctica, making my photo books and many friends on the way.

I became an expert in understanding photography and learning about the internet and social media.

I created many controversies on the way, was banned by my batch mates for writing about my ex campus life in my book. I also slept with Rashmi Verma, my blog was reported by Anupriya Goenka for distributing my naked videos. I created a network of book shops and outlets where my books are now being sold. From Biryani wala’s in Allahabad to food outlets in Oshiwara I bartered my blog writing for free food. I gave interviews to my old Radio station Bog FM and even managed to get a role in a Sanjay Dutt film.

Five years of Blogging

So much happened in my life all documented through my writings and through my books. Five years hence I feel good and mellow. There is something to be happy about but then there is still a void in my heart. It’s as if five years was nothing I feel I need another five years of this journey there is so much of the world yet to be explored.

So what did I learn and what can I teach others through my journey, well I can give people hope and help them to aspire for more. The can-do spirit and help them full fill larger goals, I can motivate you, not to mention make youtube videos. The journey has taken me through four iPhones and four laptops, not to mention one go pro that I lost in London at my friend’s place. I have been hosted by many friends and well-wishers on the way. Meeting spiritual guru’s, saints, aghodi’s, and priests alike. It has been my own journey my own experience as I have done it all alone without any co-traveler with me.

Five years of Blogging

In between, I reviewed other people’s books, write guest posts, taught others how to blog like Kavita Kumble and Mandakini. I made many girlfriends on the way and saw many mountains and streams. After five years of Blogging and building my digital business, I feel good that I created a revenue stream from my Hobby and was able to teach others on the way. I did contests on my blog and even placed branded ads on my blog. I also had a lot of other people contributing to my blog and managed to get quality content for free. Teaching others on the way and loving them too. From getting book bloggers to review my books to doing PR releases it has all been worth it. In the middle I fought a court case with my servants which got settled in time leaving me free and light, that was the only thorn in my skin for a while. So much has happened and my blog has been a witness to all, in which I have been pouring my heart too. The blog has been like my silent witness just seeing my thoughts without judging anything. I created songs for my web series and sold them as digital content.  All this has been my joy and my song.
