I have completed six weeks of power walking and now I am averaging eleven kilometers per day of walking one hour in the morning and two hours in the evening. As time has gone by the distance I am walking has increased and so has the pace of my walking. I am doing around 5.6 km per hour that’s a good speed for power walking. I really one should walk at around 5km to 6km per hour in terms of speed.

I have added a few more power foods to my diet plan also. I much on raw Amala, have two boiled corn cobs after my morning walk and instead of Fruit juice, I have four to five glasses of honey and lemon water every day to stay hydrated. To reduce my hunger pangs in the afternoon I much on an apple or a bunch of grapes as well.

 

It is now almost December and the temperature in Dehra Doon is very cool I start my evening walks late and continue till even 9:00 pm. I wander into little alleys and secluded narrow lanes around my old school.
