Actor Deepika Padukone has made her first on-set appearance after announcing her second pregnancy, joining filmmaker Punit Malhotra for a recent shoot.

On Tuesday, Malhotra shared a picture with Deepika, giving fans a glimpse of the actress back at work just days after the big announcement. The shoot is reportedly for a maternity brand campaign that Deepika has taken up following the news.

Praising her professionalism and warmth, Malhotra wrote, “This shoot? 10/10. No notes! Thank you @deepikapadukone for being so warm, gracious and wonderful… truly grateful! I owe you one.”

Deepika and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, revealed their second pregnancy on Sunday through a heartfelt social media post. The announcement featured their daughter Dua sitting on Deepika’s lap, holding a pregnancy test kit alongside her parents.

The couple’s journey began on the sets of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. They later tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in a dreamy ceremony at Lake Como. In 2024, they welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Dua.

Following motherhood, Deepika reportedly requested shorter working hours of 7–8 hours per shift. This sparked conversations within the industry regarding work-life balance and professional expectations.

Reports suggest that her preference for limited work hours led to her stepping away from projects like Spirit. She was also said to have been dropped from the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, due to scheduling challenges.

On the professional front, Deepika was last seen in Singham Again. She will next star in Siddharth Anand’s King alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
