Today was day eight and I did around six kilometres of walk but it was not brisk as I had grazed my toes and they where hurting badly , so I had to walk slowly and cautiously I did one hour of my walk but it was not as much fun and I did not break into a major sweat . The toe really screwed me up today and I was disappointed with the walk . My first stop was the pharmacy where I got some ointment and powder to sooth my toe and help it heal . Without the healing there is no way I can walk with speed briskly . Speed of walking is important to burn more fat and calories .Speed is of the essence here . My dinner today was mere too which consisted of chicken soup and plate full of chicken momo’s .
The ninth day of my fat to fit routine and I clocked another 7 km of brisk walk today more than one and a half hours of walk at the pace of 5km per hour . I stopped for two full glasses of juice a mix of oranges and pineapple . I like to take a ten min break after one hour of waling I call it my juice break . This is very important to re hydrate yourself , I always have a bottle of water ready in one hand and keep taking sips from it regularly . BHU is turning out to be just the place I want for my three month drive , my aim is simple to loose 5kgs a month consistently . BHU is quiet in the evening and I feel 5:00 pm in the evening is the perfect time to start the walk . I want to keep my walking at 10km every day and do it for two hours at a starch that should make my girth I have developed over corona go away . As I started my regime I was 98 kgs in weight and my target looks frightening as of now , I want to loose twenty kilos to reach a very fit BMI of 25 .
I also clicked a few photographs of mine , you can see my tits hang from my head to toe and my stomach is jutting out from my underwear . I have a humongous double chin that makes me look old and decayed . The aim is to loose weight and get fit so that I can go back ten years in age . Loosing weight can make you look and feel younger and that is what I want to achieve . Luckily I have my friend Tiwari ji to give me company and keep me motivated for this mission of mine . More than the world I want to prove myself that I can develop the will and discipline to become thin and young the way I was when I had started my first struggle in Bollywood sometime in 2007 .
The goal is distant but I feel rejuvenated after every walk and now I don’t even need Tiwari to give me company I am doing it on my own and I am getting into it . Trying to enjoy the process of loosing weight . My BMI index target is even more difficult from a BMI of 32.5 I have to reduce my BMI index to 25 which is in the fit category and for that I need to loose at least twenty kilo’s not an easy task that is ,As of week one I look like Mr. OBLIX I am attaching some of my pictures as I start this gigantic mission to loose weight and go from Obese to Fit . I have also managed to keep my diet in check in the mean while .
My Diet Week One
Breakfast : 7:00 AM
One boiled egg with salt and pepper
Three lightly buttered toasts
Two cups of tea
A plate of digestive biscuits
Lunch : 2:00 PM
One full large bowl of yellow dal or Rajma or Black Dal or Chola
Two crisp tandoori roti’s or Two Nan’s without butter
Dinner : 8:00 PM
One large bowl of chicken corn soup or tomato soup
One full plate of chicken momo’s or one plate of chicken spring rolls
Before going to bed :
One cup of tea and biscuits
No Sugar , Desserts , Red Meat , Fat’s ,Oil and Milk products .
I have totally cut out dairy products , fats , cheese , butter and ghee , oil from my diet and cut down on non veg as well only chicken and boiled eggs to give me the daily protein that I need , as I am having no milk I need eggs from protein and the dals and pulses in my diet will also give me the protein I need . That way I have also completely cut out sugar products deserts and ice creams from my diet . The only sugar I take is through tea , and juice and if I feel the need to have sweets I have digestive biscuits .
Also it is important to keep hydrating yourself with water and fruit juice I try and have at least 6 bottles of one litre water and two large glasses of orange juice .
End of week one I have clocked 44 kms of brisk walking at 5kms per hour speed .That is one and half hours of evening walk every day .
Exercise Regime :
The BHU campus and its fields are my walking ground and I want to clock 10km of brisk walk every day for two hours continuously , I feel 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm is the perfect time for my daily exercise routine . I will try and add half and hour of exercise , stretching and yoga also to this routine after a few weeks to make is schedule more fun and less boring .
The idea is to start doing some jogging after the first month of brisk walking that ay I can cover more group and clock more kilometres .
Rest day is a must
One day of rest is a must in a week and I keep Sunday as the erst day where I keep following my Diest regime but do not do my exercise regime , just doing light exercises stretches and meditation on the rest day .
Attire and Environment
For me what works best is a nice track bottom which is not too tight it should let the pours sweat and make sure it is porous enough to let the sweat dry up fast as well when you job or do your brisk walking .A cotton T shirt again not figure hugging , have a slogan on your t shirt that is catchy and motivating again it should be not too tight so that your skin can breathe and you can feel the sweat pour .Th3 colour of the t shirt should be light and not dark so that it is comfortable even in the heat of the sun .A it is the ideal time to jog is in the evening when it gets much cooler then the middle of the day . The shoes should be soft with a a brand upper and cushions to stop any jarring as you jog , Nike and Adidas shoes are my favourite for jogging , they should be laced ad snug fit leave the tens loose and don’t tie the shoe too hard otherwise the upper will jab against the tens and create aberrations and rashes between your toe fingers .That will make the skin peel and also need to bleeding in the toe . I experienced that during the end of the forest week of my exercise regime . I tie my hair in a pony tail and cover my face with a face mask whenever I am out for my jog , the virus is still around and one must be cautious .I feel autumn and winter months are the best time for jogging and brisk walking as teh weather is cooler and the air is crisp .
Choose a large spacious environment to jog and walk like a large garden or a play ground in my case its a university campus and the added greenery gives me lot of joy as I meander through the tarmac roads of the campus . Make sure the environment is green with little or no people lots of tress to keep the flow of oxygen and co2 going . The quieter the better , I use my I phone to time myself and keep a track of my speed and mileage of walk per day .
It’s all in the breathing
The other most important aspect of jogging or brisk walking is how one regulates ones breathing and how vigorously one breathes in and out of the mouth and nostrils . Ideally one must synchronise ones in and out breathing with the movement of the the two feet as we take long strides forward while walking or brisk walking . The more vigorous and clear the breathing the more oxygen one can inhale and that is useful for the muscles who will propel the legs forward . The extra oxygen intake can increase our speed over time .
