His family and friends have confirmed that Raju is stable and they are praying for a speedy recovery. In a recent interview with Bombay Times, his wife Shikha shared that Raju continues to be on a ventilator and urged people to pray for him. She also requested not to spread any rumours and believe false stories as it affects the morale of the family.
“All I can say is that his condition is stable and he is still on a ventilator. The medical team is doing their best and we all want your prayers, so that he recovers and is back with us,” she told Bombay Times.
Late last month, several media publications reported that Srivastava, 58, had gained consciousness 15 days after he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of AIIMS, following a heart attack in Delhi.
His wife Shikha had requested the media and the comedian’s fans to only trust statements issued by the family on his official social media pages and the hospital. “Only statements from AIIMS Delhi and Raju Ji’s official social media accounts are trustworthy and genuine. Any other news or statements from anyone else is unreliable,” she told PTI.
“The doctors and their entire team at AIIMS Delhi are working hard and diligently. We’re thankful to them and all his well-wishers. Request you all to continue your love and prayers for him,” she added.
Raju Srivastava was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on August 10 and underwent an angioplasty the same day. He has been on life support since then.
Srivastava catapulted to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in 2005. He has also featured in Hindi films such as “Maine Pyar Kiya“, “Baazigar”, the remake of “Bombay to Goa” and “Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya”. He is the chairperson of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
The recently released social drama, Laal Singh Chaddha met with a disastrous fate at the box office in India. The Aamir Khan film has ended its run with collections under Rs. 60 crores, thereby ending up as one of the biggest disasters of Indian cinema to date. However, the angel for the producer, Viacom 18 Studios in this scenario is Aamir Khan.
The actor has decided to completely forgo his acting fees and absorb all the losses of Laal Singh Chaddha. “If Aamir Khan decides to charge his acting fees, Viacom 18 Studios would have entailed losses of nearly Rs. 100 crores. However, that loss is something that Aamir Khan has decided to absorb himself. Now, the producer will lose nominal money,” revealed a source close to the development to Bollywood Hungama.
Aamir has taken complete ownership of the failure and doesn’t want anyone but him to suffer. “He gave four years to the film but has not made a single penny from it. His opportunity cost on Laal Singh Chaddha is upwards of Rs. 100 crores, but he has decided to absorb all the losses taking the complete blame of failure on himself,” the source further told us. –

Actor Kamal R Khan, also known as KRK, was arrested in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. According to the police, KRK was arrested in a case against his controversial social media posts in 2020.
Kamal Khan was arrested after he landed at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday. He was presented in Mumbai’s Borivali court today.
The case was lodged on the basis of a complaint by Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal on April 30, 2020, where he alleged that KRK’s tweets on the late actors, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, allegedly spread “hatred”.
Rahul Kanal had said in his complaint that KRK was regularly spreading hatred on social media.
“He came into Bollywood with a movie named ‘Deshdrohi’ and is really acting like one. Even when the world is going through a pandemic, I can’t understand his inhumane behaviour and spreading hatred in all spheres of life,” he had said.

Liger is one of the most awaited films in recent times. The film has been promoted aggressively and is out now India-wide in multiple languages. Let’s see whether the film lives up to the hype or not.
Story:
Liger’s(Vijay Devarakonda) only aim is to become a national MMA champion. He and his mom(Ramya Krishna) land in Mumbai to pursue their dream. Liger gets trained in MMA but the twist in the tale arises when he gets cheated on by a rich girl Tanya(Ananya Pandey). The rest of the story is about how a heartbroken Liger gets back in form and wins the international MMA championship.
Plus Points:
Vijay Devarakonda does a decent job in his role and his transformation looks good. His stammering act is irritating but he manages it well in the second half. Ananya Pandey does her best in the role of a rich girl but her character is not etched properly.
Ali is decent in his role and Getup Sreenu evokes a few laughs in the first half. Ramya Krishna as Vijay Devarakonda’s mom is good in her role and evokes decent emotions. Ronit Roy is impressive as the coach.
Mike Tyson appears at the end of the film and his cameo has been nicely shot. All his fun scenes with Vijay Devarakonda are nice. The MMA fight sequences have been choreographed well in the film.
Minus Points:
Vijay Devarakonda’s stammering act looks good in the promos but does not gel well in the film. Perhaps it is the biggest mistake of Puri Jagan to show him as a man with a disability. The audience who loves Vijay’s free-flowing dialogue delivery will be disappointed as the stammering act is dull.
Liger has a water-thin storyline that does not work. There is no proper conflict in the film and the hero’s journey looks half-baked. The love story is also forced and does not create much interest.

Vijay also said that it is sad that films and actors have to be the ones to bear the brunt. He has also said that he is sure people will like him and Liger because they made the film with a lot of love and hard work. The actor also spoke about his personal struggles and career obstacles and how he overcame them.
News agency ANI quoted Vijay speaking about Liger on Monday, “With Liger we expected a bit of drama…but we’ll fight. We’ve put our heart into making this film. And I believe that I am correct. I feel that there is no room for fear, when I had nothing, I didn’t fear, and now after having achieved something, I don’t think there needs to be any fear even now. Maa ka aashirwaad hai, Logon ka pyaar hai, Bhagwaan ka haath hai, andar aag hai, Kaun rokenge dekh lenge (We have mother’s blessings, people’s love, God’s support, a fire inside us, we will see who will stop us)!”
Asked how she deals with the nepotism debate and trolling that comes her way, Alia told Mid Day, “There are two ways of dealing with it. One is controlled and I can prove my worth my space. I believed the only way I could shut the conversation down is through my movies. So, don’t respond, don’t feel bad. Of course, I felt bad. But feeling bad is a small price to pay for the work that you are respected and loved for. I shut up, went home and did my work. I delivered a film like Gangubai Kathiawadi. ”
She added, “So, who’s having the last laugh? At least until I deliver my next flop? For now, I am laughing! At the end of the day, use that to fuel your work. I can’t keep defending myself verbally. And if you don’t like me, don’t watch me. I can’t help it. That’s something I can’t do (anything about]. People have something to say. Hopefully, I will prove to them with my movies that I am actually worth the space I occupy. How can I control where I am born? How can I control what my parents were doing? You want me to feel embarrassed for the hard work my father did. It comes easier to me, yes, but I am also working hard for the work that I got.” Alia also said that if her child would want to pursue acting, she would tell them that they need to work hard, and things won’t be easy.
Bhupinder Singh is known for melodies like Dil Dhoondta Hai, Naam Gum Jaayega, Ek Akela Is Shaher Mein, Beeti Na Beetai Raina, Huzoor Is Kadar bhi na Itra ke Chaliye, Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Aaj Bhi Hai, Baadalon Se Kaat Ke among others.
Dil dhoondhta hai phir wohi, fursat ke raat clamor; baithe rahe tasavvur-e-jaana kiye huye
(Yet again the heart’s attempting to recuperate those relaxed days and evenings/Simply sitting, thinking and longing for the darling)
One of Gulzar’s most important love tunes owes an incredible arrangement to Mirza Ghalib, whose couplet shapes the primary line of the melody. Gulzar supplanted the word ‘Jee’ with ‘Dil’ and extended the couplet with melodious aptitude, while Madan Mohan created it in the honeyed Raag Keervani.
Inside this close ideal blend of verse and tune was Bhupinder Singh’s marginally slow, drowsy voice that moves only two or three seconds behind the idea. It was a novel articulation, not the caring one had heard from male playback vocalists of the time.
Dr Deepak Namjoshi, chief, Criticare Asia Medical clinic, said, “His condition deteriorated on Monday morning and we needed to put him on a ventilator. He got a heart failure and kicked the bucket at 7.45 pm.”
Brought into the world in Amritsar, Singh experienced childhood in Delhi’s West Patel Nagar.
He started his vocation with All India Radio, Delhi, and Doordarshan. It was at a social gathering in Delhi that Madan Mohan heard Singh and requested that he take a shot in the realm of film music. He offered Singh his most memorable reprieve with Mohammad Rafi, Nourishment Dey and Talat Mahmood in ‘Haqeeqat’. The melody was ‘Hoke majboor mujhe’, which tracked down very some consideration.
He followed it with others, for example, Do diwane shahar mein, Naam gum jayega, Karoge yaad to, Meethe bol bole, Kisi nazar ko tera intezaar aaj bhi, and Ek akela is shehar mein, Kisi ko mukammal, among others.
