Bollywood actress Esha Gupta recently embraced the spiritual fervor of Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. On February 6, she took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
Sharing glimpses of her visit on Instagram, the Jannat 2 actress captivated fans with snapshots of the grand event. One of the pictures featured her alongside Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Export Promotion, Nandi Gupta, and motivational speaker Indresh Upadhyay. Expressing her reverence for the occasion, she captioned her post: “Divy Kumbh, Bhavy Kumbh #mahakumbh2025” (Divine Kumbh, Grand Kumbh).
A Global Spiritual Gathering
The Mahakumbh Mela, known as the world’s largest religious gathering, has drawn millions of pilgrims and global visitors this year. Among the notable attendees was Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, who, while in India for a concert, also participated in the sacred ritual at the Kumbh.
Prominent political figures have also made their presence felt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini are among those visiting the event. CM Saini, accompanied by his family, shared his personal experience on social media, stating, “Today I had the great fortune of taking a holy dip with my family at the sacred confluence of Maa Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati in Prayagraj.”
The Ongoing Spiritual Extravaganza
The Mahakumbh Mela commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025) and continues to be a monumental spiritual gathering. Devotees, saints, and tourists from around the world are partaking in the festivities, seeking divine blessings.
The grand event is set to conclude on Mahashivratri, February 26, 2025.
