“So here we are, one more journey fulfilled, one more country seen. My three weeks of traveling gave me a lot of satisfaction. I was able to explore the snowy peaks and valleys of Azerbaijan. It was a trip that built up slowly. I spent the first five days in Baku, doing the city tour and venturing into nearby areas of the city. But it was my three-day trip to Nakhchivan that got the tour really rolling; the snow peaks of Batabat were just out of this world. I got the real taste of rural life and life outside the capital city. From then on, I ventured into a discovery of rural Azerbaijan.

Description
I saw much of the countryside as I drove with my trusted driver and guide, Uslan. Uslan was a real boon in the country, and he made sure I got the best from my travels. I became good friends with him, and he even took me to see his friends, close relatives, and family. We spent hours on video conference and video chat, during which I spoke to his wife and his four children. In one of our trips to the Shahdag mountain ranges, his fifteen-year-old son also accompanied us. It was good, and with him around, I always had someone to take my pictures and give me a lowdown on the history of all the places that we were exploring.
