Atman Karma is the central character of this comic book. He is a sage and a fakir who roams the city with a sack of glass bottles slung over his shoulder. He wanders through the streets of Kashi, capturing souls in his bottles.

A mystic and practitioner of voodoo, he uses mantras and ancient vidhis (rituals) to purify homes and extract evil souls and restless atmans from people who have been possessed. He is well known within occult circles, and many believe he possesses supernatural powers.

No one knows where he lives or how old he is, but whenever the locals face cases of possession, Atman Karma is the go-to man.
