Mayong has been nothing short of magical. The afternoons can get a bit warm, but the pool keeps me refreshed, and I’ve spent the past few days happily swimming and relaxing.

Yesterday, I ventured out with a local driver to witness a special magic performance arranged just for me. A local magician showcased his skills using everyday household items—glasses, rice, and a simple bedsheet. He poured a handful of rice into the sheet, flipped it over with the help of his son, and within moments, the rice had transformed into poha!

Next, he amazed us by making a cotton ball completely disappear. I sat inside his humble home, sipping tea and chatting with him as he performed his tricks. It was a delightful experience—simple, genuine, and full of charm.

Moments like these remind me how important it is to connect with local communities while traveling. This little encounter gave me a glimpse into the warmth and simplicity of village life.
