My Allahabad leg of the journey is now coming to an end having spent the last few weeks recording my audio book in the city, I have managed to record 9 audio books so far and my stay is coming to an end now. It has been some wonderful two months in the city of Allahabad and Banaras and I have managed to catch up with work on my books. It is strange I had almost staled down in this part of the world. I realized how much of UP is in my blood, these were the cities my ancestors resided in Allahabad, Banaras, Sitapur, Behraich all part of the real confluence of India. It is these heartlands that my web series should target, it is the youths of these cities that my web-series will target. The Hindu religion is not open towards sex, it condemns it as evil and something to be brushed up under the carpet. Sexual repression in these cities is the maximum, made of shop keepers and traders they are a conservative lot sex is still happening and promiscuity still exists but it is done under closed doors. People still see it has impolite but with the mobile phone, any youth can watch a web series in the privacy of his bathroom and jerk off . This is where erotica comes sin and if you see the web-series space it is full of erotica, love making and soft porn with raunchy dialogues and hot erotic scenes. They are the demand of the day and with no censors, it is a more open and creative space where Indian sexuality can be explored to the fullest.
But I still believe a strong story is required to jell the erotica and sex bit, without a strong story we will not be able to get a hit product.I have alleys started getting my Rashmi Verma book made into paperback. With Translations of the book on the way, it can be made into a strong franchise.
But as of now I bid goodbye to the audiobook journey and look forward to starting work on my web-series.
