I saw much of the countryside as I drove with my trusted driver and guide, Uslan. Uslan was a real boon in the country, and he made sure I got the best from my travels. I became good friends with him, and he even took me to see his friends, close relatives, and family. We spent hours on video conference and video chat, during which I spoke to his wife and his four children. In one of our trips to the Shahdag mountain ranges, his fifteen-year-old son also accompanied us. It was good, and with him around, I always had someone to take my pictures and give me a lowdown on the history of all the places that we were exploring.
